ABO Energy has sold its Greek subsidiary, including staff and a portfolio of solar, battery and wind projects totalling around 1.5GW, to Helleniq Energy Holdings. The financial details and structure of the transaction have not been disclosed.
ABO Energy will remain active in Greece as a service provider, continuing to handle commercial and technical management of operational solar parks. Helleniq Energy, formerly Hellenic Petroleum, is an integrated energy group active in seven countries across Southeastern Europe. Its current renewable energy portfolio includes a development pipeline exceeding 6GW.
