Rezolv Energy, supported by Actis, has appointed its main partners for Phase 2 of the Vifor wind farm in Buzău County, Romania. Through its project company First Looks Solutions, Rezolv has awarded the balance of plant contract, covering civil works and high- and medium-voltage electrical systems, to Austrian company PORR. Vestas will supply 42 EnVentus V162-6.4 MW turbines.
Construction of Phase 2 is expected to start in late summer 2025 and will complete the wind farm’s planned 461 MW capacity. Commissioning is scheduled for summer 2027.
Phase 1, which includes 192 MW of capacity, is already under construction and is expected to be operational by spring 2026. Both phases will use the same turbines, with a hub height of 166 metres, a rotor diameter of 162 metres and a 6.4 MW capacity per turbine.
