ZX Measurement Services is supporting Effo with the development of the 100MW Eysturlund Energy Park in the Faroe Islands. The project is part of the region’s energy transition, focusing on the electrification of local industry. Eysturlund will include 24 wind turbines, each rated at 4.2MW, and is expected to generate around 350GWh of renewable electricity per year.This output could reduce the Faroe Islands’ fossil fuel consumption by approximately 10%. ZX Measurement Services has provided Effo with turnkey support, including the rental of a ZX 300 wind Lidar and monthly data reporting. The Lidar will be used for a 12-month wind resource assessment campaign to help optimise the design and energy production of the wind park.
