OX2 has appointed Steve Symons as Vice President, OX2 Australia, effective from 13 May. Symons brings around 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. He previously worked at Tilt Renewables, where he served as Chief Financial Officer for eight years and also held the position of interim Chief Executive Officer.
OX2 entered the Australian market in 2023 through the acquisition of renewable energy developer ESCO Pacific. Since then, the company has sold its first solar farm and project rights for two additional solar developments. It has also acquired its first onshore wind project in the country, currently in the early development stage, with a planned capacity of 1GW. OX2’s total development portfolio in Australia now stands at 2,418MW, covering solar, onshore wind and energy storage.
