Certek has acquired GEV Wind Power, a wind turbine services company based in East Yorkshire, England. GEV specialises in inspection, monitoring, rope-access and maintenance services for both onshore and offshore wind turbines. GEV operates through regional hubs in North America, the UK and Europe, and Australia. It delivers over 300 projects each year, supported by a network of more than 500 specialist technicians. The company services wind turbines across four continents.
Founded in 2024 by David Harrison, employee-owned Certek focuses on partnering with businesses that operate in regulated environments with a strong emphasis on compliance and safety. The acquisition has been supported by Macquarie Capital Principal Finance, part of Macquarie Group. GEV’s founder and Chief Executive Officer David Fletcher, along with the current management team, will remain in place under the new ownership.
