EDF Power Solutions, majority shareholder of the Wei Lan Hai Changhua Offshore Wind Project (WLHC), has signed a 30-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with Taiwan Smart Electricity & Energy (TSEE), a newly established government-backed electricity aggregator.
The Wei Lan Hai Changhua Offshore Wind Project, awarded in 2022, will have a total capacity of 440 MW. Once operational, it is expected to generate around 1,700 GWh of renewable electricity per year.
