FuturEnergy Ireland has appointed Ventolines as Owner’s Engineer for the Carrownagowan Wind Farm in County Clare. The company, a joint venture between Coillte and ESB, aims to develop 1 GW of renewable electricity by 2030 from its portfolio of projects. Carrownagowan is its first fully owned project to enter the delivery phase.
Ventolines will work with engineering firm Egis to provide expertise throughout construction and operation. Ventolines will oversee technical requirements, quality, safety, costs, and integration at site, while Egis will support with construction supervision and final design.
The wind farm will consist of 19 turbines with a tip height of up to 169 metres, located on the northern slopes of Slieve Bernagh in East Clare. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-2026.
