The Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) has released an updated version of its Offshore Wind Power Hub, a centralised tool designed to help policymakers and advocates monitor offshore wind activity across the USA. The platform’s Interactive Map presents detailed, up-to-date information on offshore wind projects, lease areas, ports, and power landings. It shows the development stage of each project and lease area, including details on contracts, permits and construction. Filters allow users to explore projects by specific attributes and development phases.
A revised graphic overview at the top of the homepage now displays the number of offshore wind projects by development stage, incorporating recent changes in project categorisation and capacity estimates.
The State Policy Dashboard, located beneath the map, provides an overview of offshore wind targets and policies by state. It links to official documents and outlines current goals, contracted capacity, and associated projects for each state.
Additional features are available to public sector workers and advocates. Registered state and federal employees can access a Resource Library containing reports, databases, studies, and webinars relevant to offshore wind, filtered by topic, year, state and type. Offshore wind advocates can also request access to a private discussion forum for peer engagement.
The Offshore Wind Power Hub, first launched in 2024, is managed by CESA in collaboration with the National Wildlife Federation.
