Verlume, a developer of subsea energy management and storage systems, has entered into a collaboration with Kraken Robotics, supplier of SeaPower subsea battery solutions. The partnership will combine Verlume’s Axonn energy management technology with Kraken’s subsea batteries to provide integrated power systems for offshore applications.
Kraken has appointed Verlume as its systems integration partner for resident subsea power delivery. The cooperation aims to develop reliable power solutions for sectors including renewables, defence, oil and gas, and offshore robotics.
The collaboration also brings together Kraken’s production capacity in Rostock, Germany, and Dartmouth, Canada, with Verlume’s system integration expertise in the UK. According to the companies, this will support delivery across Europe, the USA, Canada and the UK.
